Cow Hollow School Presents a CIVIC Inspired
Book Reading:
Children's books on diversity and differences

In the third year of this very popular event, Cow Hollow faculty members will be presenting favorite children's books that address concepts of citizenship, identity, inclusion, and cultures -- books that help children better understand themselves and others. Teachers will read aloud with suggestions on how to use texts as spring boards for organic, topical conversations within families. This is an adult-only event (babies in arms welcome), open to CHS community members and to the general public.

The Layered Experience:
Making, Looking, And Talking About Art
with Jamie Kelty*, Teacher Cow Hollow School

This workshop will introduce the Elements of Design as a way to compose, look, and talk about art. The presentation will also include discussion regarding  the identity and and transformation of materials. The participants will have studio time to experiment with materials and develop ideas for their use in the classroom. Participants will leave with a list of art materials to explore, their own art creation, and vocabulary for talking about art.
